2. Guarantees & Artisan Craftsmanship
All items in our olfactory collections are formulated in Paris and handcrafted in France. Due to the artisanal nature of our products—including hand-poured wax, natural reeds, and French porcelain—slight visual variations in texture, color, or finish are natural characteristics and not defects.
All products are covered by European statutory guarantees of conformity and hidden defects. In the case of a confirmed defective item, GAO’s liability is limited to the replacement or refund of the affected item. Return shipping costs for non-defective items remain the exclusive responsibility of the buyer.
3. Pricing & Currency
All prices displayed on the site are in EUROS (€) and inclusive of applicable Taxes (VAT). Shipping fees are calculated separately during checkout or inquiry unless stated otherwise. GAO reserves the right to modify prices at any time without prior notice.
4. Orders & Payment
Placing an order or submitting a formal purchase request on this site constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and an obligation of payment. Accepted payment methods include credit/debit card, PayPal, or direct bank transfer for custom/corporate orders.
5. Product Descriptions
Every ritual product is described with the utmost accuracy regarding its scent profile, dimensions, and materials. Visual variations resulting from hand craftsmanship do not affect the safety or performance of the product.
6. Applicable Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by European consumer legislation and applicable regulations. In the event of any disagreement, parties shall seek an amicable resolution before pursuing mediation or legal proceedings. Consumers within the European Union may also access the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform.
7. Order Processing & Dispatch
Orders are processed and dispatched within 3 business days following payment confirmation (excluding weekends and public holidays). Dispatch schedules for bespoke or corporate orders are agreed upon individually.
8. Retention of Title
All delivered products remain the property of GAO until full payment of the total purchase price is received.
9. Limitation of Liability & Force Majeure
GAO shall not be held liable for failure or delay in fulfilling orders caused by events beyond reasonable control (Force Majeure), including postal or transport strikes, supply disruptions, or natural disasters.
10. Data Privacy & Confidentiality
Personal information collected during the ordering process is kept strictly confidential and processed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Customers reserve the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of their personal data at any time.
11. Right of Withdrawal & Returns Policy (14 Days)
Under European Union consumer law, buyers have the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 calendar days from the date of physical receipt of the product.
To exercise this right, items must be returned unused, unopened, in pristine condition, and inside their original packaging to the return address provided upon inquiry. Return shipping costs are paid by the customer.
